Rifle Range

We ask that if anyone
using the range finds anything out of order, or in poor conditions,
please bring it to the attention of the club during normal business hours.

Rifle Range Rules:

RIFLE
Ranges – Indoor and Outdoor.
Hours – Ranges are available for “Open”
shooting during club hours except:
a Scheduled matches by the pistol team.
b. Scheduled use by the junior 3-F
(Thursday 6-9PM) September – May.
c. Special Functions at the Clubhouse
may require the indoor range to be
closed. A complete schedule is kept
by the House Chairman and may be
checked with the House Chairman
I. All shooters, whether using the indoor
or outdoor range, are required to
sign the book at the Clubhouse bar.
Name, Date, Caliber of rifle to be
used, are required.
2. Indoor range is restricted to 22
caliber rifle thru.45 caliber pistol.
.Jacketed ammunition NO holy points. 3. There is no caliber restriction on the
outdoor range and range may be used
any time. Flags are available after
9AM except during the pheasant
program. See dates posted in
pheasant room
4. Shooters using the outdoor range are
required to use (2) red flags. One on
the flagpole near the road and one on
the flagpole near the “Butts.” Shooters
are responsible for the flags and must
return them to the clubhouse as soon as
they have finished shooting. Flags are
transferable from shooter to ·
shooter on the range but it is the·
responsibility of the first shooter to
check the identity of the new shooter ·
and also the record book at the
clubhouse for his signature. 5. Shooters shall not shoot beyond
(closer to the road) the 200 yard
marker.
6. Shooters on both ranges are
Required to “police” the
range. Pick up all brass,
targets, score cards and
misfired rounds.
7. All shooters are required to either
open the action of his rifle, or have it
“encased,” while he is in the
Clubhouse. If rifle is to be left
unattended it shall be placed in the gun
rack located at the rear of the club.
8. Any misuse of the ranges or unsafe
practices while on the range will result
in the loss of use of the range
privileges.
9. Children are not allowed to use either
range without adult supervision.
IO. Eye and ear protection must be worn
when using the indoor or outdoor
rifle/pistol ranges or when using the
trap, skeet or five stand fields
