using the range finds anything out of order, or in poor conditions,
please bring it to the attention of the club during normal business hours.

Rifle Range Rules:
Outdoor Range Rules Revised 07/2025
– All members must sign-in upon entering the range. The sign-in book is in the mailbox which is attached to metal storage container. The range hours are posted on the gate. Eye & ear protection are required.
– The red light near the gate must be on and the red flag must be hung near the 100-yard line. The switch is on the metal container, and the flag is in the mailbox on the container.
– ALL shooters shall shoot from the concrete pad (100-yard line). The 200-yard line may be utilized if and only if no one is at the 100-yard line.
– While on the firing line, firearms should bepointed down range or in a safe direction at ALL times. If a long gun is not being fired, it should be laying on a benchpointing down range, safety on, action open facing up, chamber empty with an empty magazine well. An open bolt indicator (O.B.I.) is suggested. Pistols may be holstered, if not the same rules apply as they do to long guns
– No one shall walk forward of the concrete firing line until…
o A seize fire is called & acknowledged by ALL persons on the range.
o Long guns are to be benched pointing down range, safety on, action open, facing up, chamber empty with an empty magazine well. An open bolt indicator (O.B.I.) is suggested. Pistols may be holstered, if not the same rules will apply as they do to long guns.
o Firing will not commence until EVERYONE acknowledges that the range will be live.
– Shooters must be 18 years of age or older or accompanied by an adult.
– Paper or cardboard targets will be hung on the provided target stands or on the meshnear the berm (NOT ON THE WOOD 6×6’s). Return stands back to the concrete pad when you are finished shooting.No other targets (metal plates, spinners, cans, milk jugs etc.) are allowed currently.
– Shooting drills such as double taps, Mozambique Drill, Bill Drill, etc.are acceptable. Indiscriminate rapid fire and magazine dumps are not.
– No Class 3 firearms are allowed.
– Guests are allowed at cost of $5.00 per guest. Place money in envelope and place in the money box. Guests must sign theenvelope stating they read and understood the range rules. Guest fees do not apply to member’s immediate family. Members are responsible for their guests at all times.
– The white buckets are for used for casings. Please place them in the appropriate bucket (Brass & Other metals). You may take your own brass home you may not take the brass in the buckets. That brass helps offset the range incidentals. Shotgun shells can be placed in the garbagecan. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep our range clean.
– Any damage shall be reported to a member of the range committee immediately. (OVER)
Be sure to practice safe gun handling when shooting. Let’s all use common sense and courtesy while on the range.
